E-Commerce

Let us help you build E-Commerce solutions for the modern world!

Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce) has changed drastically in the last couple of years. Our E-Commerce practice enables fresh, modern E-Commerce capabilities that blend sophisticated enterprise capabilities with the best practices of the Web 2.0 world.

Tellago’s E-Commerce practice focuses on making organizations more agile by enabling modern E-Commerce capabilities. This practice specializes in the implementation of cohesive E-Commerce solutions that include a broad spectrum of capabilities ranging from modern web portals to the integration with Line of Business systems.

Currently, our practice is centered on solutions around the Microsoft technology stack with products such as Microsoft Commerce Server and SharePoint Server. This makes our E-Commerce practice a natural complement to some of our other competencies such as Custom Application Development, Business Intelligence, RFID or Portals and Collaboration.

Tellago’s E-Commerce practice follows the same principles of our other practices: Technical Excellence, Agile Processes and Commitment to the Customer.

Our E-Commerce team includes some of the world top thought leaders in the Microsoft E-Commerce technology stack. Our architects are regular speakers at top cloud computing industry conferences as well as world known authors about cloud computing subjects. Additionally, we serve as advisors to Microsoft’s Commerce Server and SharePoint Server product teams which give us a unique perspective to guide our customers on the implementation of E-commerce solutions.

Let us give you an example….

Last year we were approached by Tyco (the world leader in electronic security solutions and literally one of the biggest companies in the world) to build an E-Commerce platform to streamline their order processing system. The solution encompassed a large number of E-Commerce capabilities including multi-language/multi-currency portal, marketing, product catalog modeling and the integration with various lines of business systems. After a brief business process analysis and prototyping effort lead by one of our Information Architects and E-Commerce Architects, we decided to rely on Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 as the fundamental infrastructure backbone of the solution. We started the implementation of the solution with a team formed by Commerce Server Architects, Information Architects, Agile Coaches and a distributed development team with engineers from both our offices in the United States and Argentina. The result of the effort was the successful delivery of a global, sophisticated E-Commerce platform tailored to the needs of Tyco in record time.

As mentioned before, our E-Commerce practice focuses on the fundamental aspects of a modern E-Commerce solution such as:

  • E-Commerce Portals

  • Product Cataloging

  • Order Processing

  • Ads and Marketing

  • Mobile E-Commerce

  • Integration with Enterprise Line of Business Systems

If you are looking to enable E-Commerce capabilities in the Microsoft platform, we can help you:

  • E-Commerce Business Processes Engineering: Our Information Architects will work with your business and technical teams to envision the E-Commerce capabilities required by your solution within the context of specific technologies.

  • E-Commerce Solution Architecture: Team up with our architects to design your end to end E-Commerce solution.

  • E-Commerce Solution Prototype: Concerned about various aspects of your E-Commerce infrastructure? Our team will prototype the fundamental capabilities of the solution to identify potential challenges and outline the path for the development team.

  • E-Commerce Solution Implementation: After the completion of the prototype, our team will start working on the complete implementation of the solution following an Agile + Continuous Delivery methodology.

  • Training and Support: As part of our implementation process, we will continuously deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions that will guarantee that your team is in a great position to manage and support the solution. Additionally, we could explore the option of implementing a joined support effort to facilitate the correct support model for the solution.

See Us In Action

As part of our successful implementation with customers, we have established a lot of patterns and best practices to enable sophisticated E-Commerce capabilities using the Microsoft technology stack. In order to make our customers aware of those, sometimes unknown, capabilities we decided to open source a sample application based on Microsoft Commerce Server and SharePoint Server that highlights end to end E-Commerce capabilities.
